The Heart of the Garden Of England

Ashford International Terminal

Ashford is a growing town, originally a small market town it experienced major growth with the coming of the railway. It's the railway that promises to rejuvenate Ashford with the International station built for the Eurostar train service to the continent. This has already brought with it many new companies and a rapid growth in house building in the area. The new McArthur Glen Factory shopping outlet, over 100 shops selling discounted brand and designer goods is now open. This is a very busy shopping mall, so during weekends arrive early.

Ashford had been without a cinema for some Six years since the old one was knocked down to make way for the International station pictured above. Along side the new cinema are four retail outlets including Kentuky Fried Chicken, Burger King, Pizza Hut and Frankie & Bennies.
