MATCH PREVIEW

ASHFORD TOWN vs DULWICH HAMLET

at The Homelands

29-03-2008

3pm kick-off

Ashford Town welcome Dulwich Hamlet to Homelands on Saturday looking to avenge the one-nil defeat they suffered at the hands of the leagues’ ninth place team earlier on in the Steve Lovell reign. The Nuts and Bolts fell to a late Meshach Nugent goal at Champion Hill in December.

Town manager Lovell is looking forward to the game and still refuses to totally rule out a play-off place at the end of the current campaign.

“It’s going to be another big game and if we get the result we want then it might just keep our season alive. You just never know in this league, we have seven games left, 21 points to play for and even though at the moment it looks like we may fall short, if we win all our games then we might just sneak in there.”

“Only when we can’t mathematically reach the play-offs then I will start looking towards next season, but until then we will be looking to win every game.”

TEAM NEWS

Lovell has reported a clean bill of health from the Easter period with Lee Hockey remaining the only casualty as he is still unavailable with a broken nose.

Lee Spiller remains on loan at Sittingbourne but can be recalled at anytime.

For the visitors, Marc Cumberbatch is likely to denied a return to Homelands as he was sent off in Dulwich’s home victory against lowly Molesey on Monday for a professional foul.
